River Spey Descent (4 days)
One of the classic canoe journeys of the UK! A must for all those who have mastered the basic skills of canoeing on rivers and want to use them to go on a journey. Our trip starts at Loch Insh where we spend a little time going over your skills before heading down the river. The journey takes us down one of Scotland’s premier salmon fishing rivers with a mixture of slow moving water, shallow shingle rapids and one or two more technical rapids. The journey ends at Spey Bay and the sea. Depending on your preference we can follow the traditional way of journeying and camp on the river bank each night. For those who want a little more in the way of comfort it is possible to spend each night in a B&B. Whatever your choice, this is a classic canoe journey and one not to miss!
A multi day canoe journey requiring a good level of fitness. Participants must have basic river canoe skills.
