WALK IT...

Bob Graham Challenge (6 days)

This is a classic fell runner’s challenge taking in 42 Peaks over 72 miles. The aim is to do it in just 24 long hours. Eden Outdoor Adventures will help you break it down in to six manageable legs with logical accommodation stops.

Our walk starts at the famous Moot Hall in Keswick. From here we head north on to Skiddaw, Great Calva and Blencathra before heading down to Threlkeld.

The second day takes in Clough Head, the Dodds and on to Helvellyn, before heading across to Grisedale Tarn. From here we ascend Fairfield before finishing on Seat Sandal and the descent to Dunmail Raise.

Our third day sees us climb Steel Fell, cross to the Langdale Pikes and Rosset Pike before spending the night in Langdale.

Day four begins with climbing Bowfell. We then take in a number of peaks on our way to Scafell Pike and Scafell before dropping down to Wasdale.

Day five we climb Yewbarrow and then on to Steeple and Pillar. From here we climb Great Gable and carry on to Honister Pass.

The final day we climb Dale Head and traverse across to Robinson before returning to the Moot Hall.

It is possible to do this trip in summer and winter although the latter is much tougher and will involve some walking in the dark. Both offer a great challenge with the chance to climb many of the great Lakeland fells and have some magical days out in the hills!
