Loch Lomond Canoe and Walking Journey (2 days)

Despite it's close proximity to Glasgow, Loch Lomond provides a fantastic tranquil backdrop for this trip. It combines the Loch Lomond canoe trail with the start of the West Highland Way. We canoe for the day on the loch with sweeping views of Ben Lomond and the Arrochar Alps. The following day allows us to explore the lakeshore or mountain tops on foot..

 

Grade:

A trip on flat water with potential for wind and waves making the journey challenging. No previous canoeing experience required as full instruction will be given. The walking is along the loch shore with gentle ups and downs and is suitable for all abilities or it is possible to climb Ben Lomond which involves substantial uphill sections.

£150  per person minimum of 4 people maximum of 10

Loch Lomond Canoe Journey (2 Days)

This two day canoe trip will explore this fantastic loch. Open views of the surrounding mountains, wooded shorelines and islands make this a wonderful place to spend time on the water. Learn or develop your canoeing skills over the two days. Spend a night wild camping relaxing round a camp fire enjoying the company of friends or family or stay on a lochside campsite. 

 

Grade:

WALK IT...

 

Scottish Munro Madness! (5 days)

Do you have limited time and a desire to bag as many Munros as possible? Let Eden Outdoor Adventures maximise your chances of bagging those summits! Alternatively, just enjoy doing those summits you have always wanted to do, but lacked the confidence to tackle. There are many Munros that require a little more skill to reach their summit - from the Cuillins of Skye to An Teallach,  the Aonach Eagach ridge and the peaks of Torridon. Others require ‘spot on’ navigation in more remote places such as Fisherfield and Knoydart. Wherever you want to get to we can help make it happen.

Grade:

Some routes with large amounts of ascent and descent, requiring a high level of fitness and previous summer hill walking experience. However, we can offer this week to take you to smaller summits and places of interest to suit your level of fitness.

We are able to arrange pick up and drop offs from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness airports or various railway stations, depending on the area being visited.

If several outlying Munros are chosen requiring extra mileage, then a charge for fuel used will be made.

Even in winter many Munros can be bagged. So if you have limited time and a desire to bag as many Munros as possible, let Eden Outdoor Adventures maximise your chances of bagging those summits! Perhaps you just enjoy doing Munros but feel you lack the confidence to tackle them in winter? We will not only guide you to the tops of Munros, we will also help you to acquire the skills to tackle them on your own in the future. Time will be spent learning the skills to travel in winter safely whilst bagging those summits. Wherever you need to get to, we can help make it happen.

Canoeing

 

PADDLE IT...

 

River Spey Descent (4 days)

One of the classic canoe journeys of the UK! A must for all those who have mastered the basic skills of canoeing on rivers and want to use them to go on a journey. Our trip starts at Loch Insh where we spend a little time going over your skills before heading down the river. The journey takes us down one of Scotland’s premier salmon fishing rivers with a mixture of slow moving water, shallow shingle rapids and one or two more technical rapids. The journey ends at Spey Bay and the sea. Depending on your preference we can follow the traditional way of journeying and camp on the river bank each night. For those who want a little more in the way of comfort it is possible to spend each night in a B&B. Whatever your choice, this is a classic canoe journey and one not to miss!

Grade:

A multi day canoe journey requiring a good level of fitness. Participants must have basic river canoe skills.

Snow Holing

 

DO IT...

 

Scottish Overnight Snow Holing Trip (2 days)

Ever fancied spending a night out in a snow hole? Why not spend two days walking in the mountains and spend the night in a snow hole? Eden Outdoor Adventures will guide you through the mountains to a suitable snow hole site. There you will learn how to dig a snow hole that you can comfortably spend the night in. The following day we will continue to explore the mountains on our way back to the valley and all the creature comforts it has to offer. These two days are based in Scotland.

Grade:

Two days walking in snowy terrain with reasonable amounts of ascent and descent, requiring a good level of fitness and previous summer hill walking experience.

 

Cost:

£170 per person     minimum of 2 maximum of 6 people
