Guided Walks
WALK IT...
Explore the Howgill Fells (2 days)
This area of Cumbria is not as popular as its neighbour the Lake District but it has much to offer the fell walker. There are some great days out to be had exploring these hills and valleys often not meeting anyone else for the whole day. So if you are looking for some peace and solitude as well as great walking then head to the Howgill Fells. There is good walking from Sedbergh taking in Winder hill and the Calf or if heading to the Howgills from the north-east direction, why not have an energetic walk up to Cautley Spout and then carry on over some of the many hill tops in the area, making your own circular walk? There are views over to the Lake District, Pennines and Yorkshire Dales from the tops so on a clear day you can see a long way!
Grade:
Routes with a reasonable amount of up and down requiring a good level of fitness and some previous summer hill walking experience
