Family Canoe Journey (2 half days + overnight)

Wondering what to do for a weekend? Enjoy messing about on the water and camping out under the stars? Then this short overnight canoe journey is a great way to have some fun. Learn the basic skills needed to paddle your canoe and then head off on your journey. Explore bays and islands and stop to light a fire, make a hot drink and toast marshmallows. Camping is on a lake shore camp site with toilet facilities etc.  After a night camping pack up and continue exploring the lake with a chance to play games and even swim!

We will provide all the equipment and food you will need for this fun family trip, along with providing you with your own guide. So why not discover a different side to Ullswater, Derwentwater, Windermere or Coniston Water?

This journey is aimed at families with or without any previous canoeing experience. For younger families we can raft canoes together to make them more stable and allow the whole family the chance to have some fun.

Covid-19 Information

It is very important to us to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. During this pandemic we will exclude participation by those who have displayed symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days, or have been in a household/had contact with someone who has displayed symptoms in the last 14 days. Eden Outdoor Adventures believe that it is not unreasonable nor would it be considered an act of discrimination to exclude someone on the grounds of Covid-19 transmission at this time. People/groups that are excluded will be offered to re-schedule or be given a full refund.

As all our activities are provided on a bespoke basis we will continue not to mix groups together. We will offer activities to individuals, couples and families from the same household. We will also work with groups of up to 4 people from different households where we are able to social distance. This is in line with Government, our National Governing Bodies and Outdoor Industry Body guidelines.

Eden Outdoor Adventures has carried out Covid-19 risk assessments for all its operations and has put in place measures to help keep everyone safe at this time. We will continue to review these in light of any new guidance. A copy of our Covid-19 risk assessment can be found on the Covid-19 page.
