Eden Outdoor Adventures

Covid-19 Information

It is very important to us to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. During this pandemic we will exclude participation by those who have displayed symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days, or have been in a household/had contact with someone who has displayed symptoms in the last 14 days. Eden Outdoor Adventures believe that it is not unreasonable nor would it be considered an act of discrimination to exclude someone on the grounds of Covid-19 transmission at this time. People/groups that are excluded will be offered to re-schedule or be given a full refund.

As all our activities are provided on a bespoke basis we will continue not to mix groups together. We will offer activities to individuals, couples and families from the same household. We will also work with groups of up to 4 people from different households where we are able to social distance. This is in line with Government, our National Governing Bodies and Outdoor Industry Body guidelines.

Eden Outdoor Adventures has carried out Covid-19 risk assessments for all its operations and has put in place measures to help keep everyone safe at this time. We will continue to review these in light of any new guidance. A copy of our Covid-19 risk assessment can be found below

Eden Outdoor Adventures Covid-19 Risk Assessment

Customers catching the virus:

From EOA staff

EOA will not employ staff who have displayed symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days, or have been in a household/had contact with someone who has displayed symptoms in the last 14 days. This is not unreasonable, nor would it be considered an act of discrimination to exclude someone on the grounds of Covid-19 transmission at this time.
EOA staff will maintain 2 metre social distancing wherever possible and will brief clients to do so between the group and the instructor. When it is not possible to social distance the instructor will use a face covering. Activities will only be undertaken that allow social distancing to be the norm. The breaking of social distancing would be to deal with a safety issue for a short period of time during the activity, for example, customers might capsize their canoe and the instructor would help them back into the canoe.
EOA will provide activities to individuals, couples, families and groups from the same household. Small groups of up to 5 from different households may undertake activities where it is possible to social distance from the whole group. The instructor will social distance him or herself from the group.

From equipment

All equipment provided to EOA customers will be cleaned between each use, in line with manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure that the risk of contamination is reduced.
From the environments where activities are carried out
EOA will provide hand sanitiser for use of customers and staff throughout the activity. All will be encouraged to use this before and after being in contact with areas/items that could be contaminated with the virus from other members of the public such as parking machines, toilets, benches etc.

From other group members

When it is possible to work with groups from different households we will limit the group size to 6 including Eden Outdoor Adventures staff.
All group members will social distance and when this is not possible they will use a face covering.
