Eden Outdoor Adventures

Covid-19 Information

It is very important to us to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. During this pandemic we will exclude participation by those who have displayed symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 14 days, or have been in a household/had contact with someone who has displayed symptoms in the last 14 days. Eden Outdoor Adventures believe that it is not unreasonable nor would it be considered an act of discrimination to exclude someone on the grounds of Covid-19 transmission at this time. People/groups that are excluded will be offered to re-schedule or be given a full refund.

As all our activities are provided on a bespoke basis we will continue not to mix groups together. We will offer activities to individuals, couples and families who come together as we are allowed to do so. This is in line with Government, our National Governing Bodies and Outdoor Industry Body guidelines.

Eden Outdoor Adventures has carried out Covid-19 risk assessments for all its operations and has put in place measures to help keep everyone safe at this time. We will continue to review these in light of any new guidance. A copy of our Covid-19 risk assessment can be found on the Covid-19 page.

Guided Summer Hill Walking

Do you want to experience walking on the high fells of the Lake District but lack the confidence or maybe you can’t read a map?  Or perhaps you would like to walk the old packhorse routes in the valleys, crossing mountain passes? Then come on your own or bring a group of friends and take a guided walk with your own personal guide.  They will have a great knowledge of the best places to walk, with stunning views and will also be able to tell you interesting tales about the past and present!

We can take you on a full day or multi day guided journey in the beautiful Lake District or the less visited Eden Valley in Cumbria, as well as the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. If you want to go further afield then we are able to suggest guided walks and itineraries in Scotland and Wales or even internationally.

If you know where you want to go then you can leave the planning of your whole trip to us!

Guided Winter Hill Walking

Would you like to walk the fells of the Lake District in the winter, but don’t feel confident walking in the snow?  Let us guide you to a summit or two with magnificent views and show you how to use ice axe and crampons or how to walk in snowshoes, depending on the terrain!  If you want to practise navigation then we can help! All you need to bring is a good pair of boots and wear warm clothing.  If you need to borrow waterproofs and a rucksack and walking poles then that’s no problem!  We can even provide a picnic lunch and hot flask if you let us know in advance, at a small extra cost.

If you want to go further afield to Scotland, Wales or even internationally then let us know which area you have in mind and we can suggest a guided itinerary for you!

Enjoy walking and travelling abroad? Then why not combine the two with a guided walking holiday? We can help you plan your own adventure to Europe, Iceland and North Africa. Let us take the hassle out of planning your trip and help make the most of your holiday!

Walk through the European Alps and admire the mountains, flora and fauna and learn about the mountain habitat and the people who live there. Use the amazing network of mountain huts each night, often with spectacular views to admire, whilst you relax after a great day’s guided walking. So why not discover the great mountain regions of France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia and Slovakia?

Head to the High Atlas mountains of Morocco and explore the mule trails linking Berber villages, or tackle one of the many amazing peaks to be found there. If you want to stand on North Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal, then you can be guided up its rocky slopes and admire the view across the mountains to the desert beyond.

Why not head to the land of ice and fire? With a landscape still being born, Iceland is a fantastic place to walk. A number of guided multi day walks are possible through the many National Parks, each offering a wide range of changing scenery and fascinating flora and fauna.

If you enjoy winter walking then why not consider doing a trip to these places to discover what they have to offer in winter? A combination of snow, cold weather, sunshine and blue skies can make them a magical winter wonderland!
