Guided Walks

Wainwright Memorial Walk (11 – 12 days)

This is a route devised by Alfred Wainwright in 1931 for him to show three friends the best of the Lake District. The route is 102 miles in length and is done over 11 to 12 days depending on whether a rest day is taken. So why not let Eden Outdoor Adventures help you follow in their footsteps and show you what the Lake District has to offer?!

Day 1: Windermere to Patterdale

Day 2: Patterdale to St John’s in the Vale

Day 3: St John’s in the Vale to Scales

Day 4: Scales to Keswick

Day 5: Keswick to Buttermere

Day 6: The Buttermere Circuit

Day 7: Buttermere to Wasdale Head

Day 8: Wasdale Head Circuit

Day 9: Wasdale Head to Langdale

Day 10: The Langdale Circuit

Day 11: Langdale to Ambleside (return to Windermere)

A route with a large amount of ascent and descent requiring a good level of fitness and previous summer hill walking experience.
