WALK IT...
Cross Lakeland Journey
(Coast to Coast Route 4 days)
This journey follows the coast to coast path through Cumbria. The journey starts on the West Coast in the pretty little village of St Bees. From here we head through farmland, low moorland and rolling hills to the village of Ennerdale Bridge.
Day two and we head into the valleys and mountains that make the Lake District so famous and this section of the coast to coast so enjoyable. We walk from Ennerdale Bridge to Rosthwaite in Borrowdale.
On day three we enjoy the walk over to Patterdale taking in Greenup Edge, the pretty little peak of Helm Crag and the charming Grisedale Valley.
Our final day starts with an ascent of Angle Tarn Pikes and then heads over the fells above Haweswater. Our route finishes at Shap.
Although the coast to coast route is traditionally done outside the winter months, Eden Outdoor Adventures offers walkers the chance to enjoy this route all year round. If you are looking for a greater challenge then why not consider a winter crossing and enjoying the mountains in their winter mantle?
